Day-to-Day Master/slave It is very common to see couples (or even thirds) who make power dynamics a part of their day-to-day life. For some, it feels like the power dynamic fades during times of stress and struggle. This presentation will explore some of aspects of keeping the M/s relationship a part of your daily focus, giving a glimpse into the mindset required, some tips, tricks, responsibilities and practical concerns, and allow a chance to ask questions.
Spirituality and Sexuality in a Master / slave relationship
The erotic is about feeling deeply with all of our being--it's about living from our creative center and acting from the source of life itself; spirituality is the path we choose, the way we live day-to-day, to fulfill our desire for wholeness and connection. A healthy eroticism and a strong spiritual path will lead us to deeper and richer levels of wholeness within ourselves, and to life-giving connections on many levels with other people and the rest of nature. Come and join us in this workshop on Spirituality and Sexuality and discover ways to develop this richness.
Transformation: Power Struggle to Power Dynamic After celebrating twenty plus years together, Master Bob and slave jan discuss their personal journey, which transformed a difficult marriage fraught with power struggle to the dynamic M/s relationship they enjoy today. A few of the questions they will address are: How was the struggle in their relationship a reflection of an inner struggle? Where did they start the process of dramatic dynamic change? How did they pace and manage the changes? What were the challenges? In this conversational workshop we will be sharing our own personal experiences on this journey and will be inviting discussion and questions from the audience. It is never the same from one journey to the next.
Standing Naked: Becoming your authentic self
Do you experience both the yearning and the fear of being seen? This workshop will explore the nature of this approach-avoidance dance, which is often an aspect of learning to stand naked and be transparent on all levels. We will briefly touch on our own struggle and experience with revealing the self and how our exploration of M/s has supported our commitment to this process. The rest of the workshop will be devoted to an open discussion where we will explore how to nurture greater transparency, deepen our awareness of our hidden selves. We will also discuss the benefits and possible downsides of opening to this process.
The Service Bump and Grind
While we may aspire to serve beautifully, with grace and confidence, often our service ends up looking more like an awkward bump and grind. In this facilitated discussion we will get real about the places we are challenged with regard to our level of service. We will grapple with how best to integrate our service with the "real-time" issues of ADD, disability, aging, baggage, and other everyday influences and complications that can sometimes impact our service. We encourage you to bring your questions, concerns, suggestions and coping strategies for open discussion.
Romancing the Dark Side - Learning to dance with the Shadow
Our "Shadow is the collection of disowned, unlived or undesirable traits we keep hidden - the things we don't like about ourselves, or are afraid to admit: egotism, proclivities, forbidden sexual desires. But is also includes our positive, untapped potential - qualities we admire in others but disavow in ourselves. Befriending the Shadow makes fear an ally and enables us to live more authentically and improves our relationships because we are freed from the need to project our negativity onto others and to recognize when theirs is projected onto us.
In this workshop, we will look for where the Shadow manifests in our personal lives, family interactions, spirituality, relationships, and the world around us. You will learn about how to use the practice of Mindfulness to work with your shadow side to enhance the quality of your life.
